Carl never grew up
When Carl was younger,
His mother would say,
"Carl, young Carl,
Don't turn out this way;
Don't worship false idols,
But for this true One.
Don't listen to those peers
Who say it's for fun.
Don't follow their life paths,
Don't stray from your own;
You'll know it by knowing
The one that I've known.
Carl, young Carl,
His mother would say,
Beware of these demons,
Who might come your way.
So, Carl, remember.
Don't let these words fade.
When life gives you lemons,
You make lemonade.

The night edges on.
With each kilometre travelled,
time is rushing past me,
faster than I'll ever be able to move.
I blink in double time;
my eyes, dry;
my nose, cold.
I wait for sleep to come,
to forget my thoughts,
to remember my dreams.
I wait for sleep to come,
but repose has forgotten me.
There is no rest for the tormented.
I am forced into my own mind,
to toil with,
and to suffer from,
my thoughts.
Rest is an impossibility now.
I am a sleepless creature of the night,
and I am growing weary.
I am growing more and more tired,
becoming more and more frustrated,
with each and every passing minute.

When it's late and she's already asleep;
when the moon light pours over her face,
and I can't sleep,
I take the time to study each freckle on her cheeks,
and admire the way her hair falls around her ears.
I watch her chest as it rises and falls,
and I memorize the sound of each quiet breath.
My eyes search her face, as she sighs,
only to find tranquility and peace.
My finger tips trace her slightly parted lips,
and as my eyes follow, I can't help but notice
how beautiful my girl really is.
There is reason for this pain;
One day, I'll know its worth.
I hope that day is soon,
For we have limited days on Earth.
And as the days pass,
Our lives do too.
And what's in my life,
If not for you?

Dare You to Dance
I dare you to be yourself.
Let everything go.
Move to the music of life.
Let everything show.
I dare you to give up your guard.
Let the world in.
Don't hide in the shadows
Of who you have been.
I dare you to be someone new.
Let yourself be surprised.
Don't ever forget that on every new day,
A new sun must rise.
I dare you to be creative.
Let imagination run free.
You can be anyone.
The world is what you want it to be.
Running through a field, she becomes lost again. Nothing is familiar anymore. She becomes lost as the darkness invades her being.
A voice begins to scream nonsense into her ears. She is startled and she cannot see anything as the darkness consumes her.
Running, now with the intention of escaping something, she trips on something she cannot recognize because the darkness follows her.
She cannot hear her own sobs over the screeching in her ears, but she can feel her tears as the darkness begins to take over her insides.
She lies on the cold wet grass and wonders why this is happening. She cannot remember a time when anything was visible.

Today, It Is Summer
One day the sun will go into hiding
And the clouds will cover the world.
One day the leaves will tumble from their branches
And the snow will fall from the skies.
That day is not today.
On a lonely summer afternoon,
Breathe the summer breeze in.
Appreciate the sunshine.
Appreciate the warmth.
It is still in my ears.
It is cacophonous.
It is distant,
But it is still there.
His voice sounds so familiar.
It is still on my lips.
It is acrid.
It is brash,
But it is still there.
His kiss tastes incredible.
It is still in my hand.
It is stony.
It is cold,
But it is still there.
His hand feels wonted.
It is still on my face.
It is dry.
It is flaky,
But it is still there.
His blood smells marvelous.
It is still on my bedroom floor.
It is still.
It is marred,
But it is still there.
His corpse looks divine.
It is filling a void.
It is slow.
It is painful,
But it is pouring in.
His death was glorious.

I Loved You All Along
How many nights
Have I fallen asleep,
With tears on my cheeks,
And thoughts of you
Dancing through my mind?
How many mornings
Have I woken up,
With tears in my eyes,
And the thought of your lips
Pressing hard on mine?
How many afternoons
Have I spent laughing,
With you by my side,
And the urge to kiss you haunting me,
Just the way you do in my dreams?
How many evenings
Have we stayed silent,
With nothing but a good movie,
And the comfort of friendship
Until the tears again start to stream?

Can I Lie With You?
The night is unbearably warm, and I have been left alone with my thoughts. It is dark throughout the entire household. You left me several hours ago, and attempted to make your departure unknown to me. I pretended not to notice, but now it is late, and I have grown tired of waiting for you to return. As I sip on my last shot of Southern Comfort, I stand and decide to find you. I walk through every hallway, but I cannot find you anywhere.
I begin to panic, but I suddenly become calm when my foot touches one of your dark purple slippers in front of our bedroom door.

too much fast food,
piles of bills and tickets,
and uncertainty over who
(let alone how)
to worship.
I will best remember my parents
as incredible blessings,
embarrassing messes,
how I remained afloat,
and quite possibly insane.
I will not remember you
except in those moments I'd rather not admit:
when mere mention of your name
(never mind how many men share it)
will cause my head to snap up and
my ears to flex and
my heart to sink.
I will not remember you
except on my birthday,
and yours.
I will not remember you
except if I ever get married
or adopt a child
or visit France
or die.

I will write a proper journal entry tomorrow, but I just wanted to stop by and say hey.
Hope you're all having a wonderful 2013 so far.
Peace <3
I haven't been very good at life lately.
I'm a very lazy person. I'm a bit behind in school becasuse I keep putting work off. Blah...
But overall, I'm pretty sure I'm the happiest I've ever been sooo... weeee! :)
I LOVE TODAY!
I don't know why. I had two midterms which I am pretty sure I did not do the greatest on. I also need to study for another test on Monday/study Latin and do some stupid translations/research for my Culture presentation/a bunch of other gay shit.
But the weather's so nice and just... LOVE!
Kay, I should work on something now. Or maybe I'll just chill and be happy. lol
